Each smite is a guaranteed hit if uninterrupted. granted it does less damage, but at least you’ll be able to find one within the next 3 months. An eth kurast shield can also do, just make sure it has high all res. most people agree that a hoz is the better option though. it doesn't matter what runeword you put in the shield a sacred rondache exile will do the same amount of (smite) damage than a sacred rondache dream.

Lower minimum damage is generally better than higher maximum damage. additionally, many backend changes have also been made that should help both continue to keep performance solid, while also adding even more redundancy and future. many of them have been visual, but there have been numerous feature updates as well. hello everyone! we have made many updates and changes over the last few months.

say 2.4 3k = up'd hoz but exile would be : 1.9k 3.4k. quote (yip12343 mon, jul 20 2009, 07:10pm) no, exile has more dmg but up'd eth hoz has more average dmg. because of this, even a non up'd hoz has better average damage than exile. I might include a video in the next update, and write a guide later (if there isn't already anything like this, I know there's a 1 pt smiter guide but that's more for zealots)Įdit: Aw, there is already a guide for hammer/smite.However, hoz has 2 pally skills and 2 pcomb, which means 2 fanat, 4 smite, and 4 holy shield.

I'm also too lazy to test it so I'll leave that to someone else.Īll in all: My new hammerdin can truly destroy everything in the game. I also think a conc setup with 7 fpa is unnecessary. I plan to do further testing with this setup. I think my dex situation and setup is satisfactory, I'm not gonna bother to get more dex to rid the need of a ravenfrost or ko in the kiras.
#D2 LOD SMITER BUILD PLUS#
Overall I think it took my hammerdin 2-4 minutes longer than my pure smiter to do ubers (including mini ubers) Plus I could clear mobs. Although it may be difficult in a game with a few other players. It wasn't too hard to finish any of the ubers off with my 1.1k damage. I didn't have to single them out, I could tank them all. Now on to uber tristam, I easily tanked and took down meph, baal, and diablo. Next was Lilith, she was pretty easy too with no other monsters in the room. I found it decently easy because I could clear mobs with my hammers (40 fcr). Max res, and high res vs conviction (fade is really nice) War travs (no need for gores, enough cb from lw pb)Ĩk hammers (might have been 9k, can't remember) Trang gloves (no need for draculs, enough lifetap% on lw pb) This caused me lose out on a potential 30% lite resist in the kiras, but it ended up alright as I had 66 lite res vs meph's conviction.Īrachnids (no need for tgods, plus the fcr and skills is useful) I didn't have enough dex for my lw pb, so I had to ko my kiras and wear a raven (originally didn't plan to). It worked better than I expected! However, I ran through some issues before I got to test. I have considered smiting with conc on :scratchchin. If anyone has tried this, please give me some opinions. This way I have max light res when fighting meph and his conviction. So I'm hoping it's the same with my hammerdin.Īlso, my total resists will be about ~250ish stacked (Oh wait this was with my random charms. Earlier in the season, I had a budget smiter that did around 1k with 40% cb, and I could solo ubers fine. Should be higher because I didn't bother to test precast holyshield. I tested this a bit in single player and my smite with base level 1 fanat and smite was ~1.1k. I've tried it on my pure smiter already, and I destroyed the ubers. Theoretically, this item setup will work very well. Tgods (I'm gonna test this to see if I can tank meph without it) Last wish pb (frees up my equipment cause it provides enough cb)Ģx soj (maybe raven/dwarf/wisp, but not really needed. Highlords (for the last bit of ias needed to hit 6 frame smite) With my ubers setup on, fanat should be around level 10-11, can't recall. This way, I'll be pretty much a normal hammerdin but with one point in fanat for when I smite. Typical hammerdin build, maxing holy shield last I'm in the process of remaking my hammerdin, and this time around I've decided I want to incorporate the ability to lay the beatdown on the ubers I want to see some opinions and maybe comments on viability as well as efficiency.
